GURPS Character Worksheet

This is a character worksheet I have created for GURPS, to make character and template building easier. It doesn't give you some nice looking character sheet that you can take to the game table, but it does give you a very nice way to keep track of your point totals when you're designing your player character, NPC or campaign template.

I have provided templates for OpenOffice Calc and Microsoft Excel.  I can't vouch for the quality of the Excel template, because I don't own a copy, it's just an export from OpenOffice.

To use this spreadsheet in OpenOffice:

1. Save the file to your hard disk. The location will depend on your operating system, but be aware of where you are saving it, because you will need to find it.  If you are using FireFox 3 under Windows Vista, the file is usually saved to c:\users\username\Downloads.
2. Launch OpenOffice.
3. Choose Templates (possibly File > New from Template)
4. Choose Organize Templates
5. Import the templates (character-worksheet.ots)
6. Close the template organizer
7. Open the template

Unfortunately I can't tell you how to open it from Excel, but it may be as simple as double-clicking the file to get it treated as a template.
